Who we are

We love these tools. We make them simple.

SedStrat Lab is a small technical outfit working in subsurface geology. We build software for exploration, research, and drilling projects — digital solutions to ease daily geoscience work.

Every application on this page started as something a project of ours needed. We built it, used it against real data, and cut away everything that got in the way of the answer. That loop is the whole company — and it is the only real reason to trust a piece of geoscience software: someone had to stake a result on it first.

Your data stays yours

Open, readable formats throughout — CSV, LAS, portable project folders. Nothing we build holds your work hostage, and nothing we build needs us to open it later.
Reproducible, or it did not happen

Every result traces back to the data it came from. The project is yours to open, check, and carry forward — not a screenshot of one.
Built by the people who use it

We are not a software house that hired a geoscientist. We use every application we ship on our own projects — which is why the steps that do not earn their place get removed.

Each one built around the same two convictions: the work has to be reproducible, and the data has to stay yours.

The graphic core log, done digitally

StratiLogger

Core and outcrop logging still happens the way it did forty years ago: a printed template, a pencil, and a scale that drifts by the third metre. Every scan and redraw after that loses something.

StratiLogger replaces the template. You draw the same log with a stylus against a real depth axis — lithology, grain size, structures, samples, photographs, and free text each in their own column against one master depth scale.
